After pilgrims walked over Fuden-toge Pass, they walked on Hongu-do toward
Yojino-watashi Ferry on Kumano-gawa River and accrossed it by ship to Shiko.
This trail goes through mountains in Kiwa, which was famous for a mine.
There are still many historical sites about its mine and some are along
this trail.
After you walk over many mountains, Kumano-gawa River (a part of the World
Heritage) appeared in front of you. Because there is no ferry at Yoji area
now, you have to go around to Shiko.
