About 21km, About 6.5hrs.: From Tochihara Station to Takihara Station

After pilgrims accrossed Miya-gawa river at "Mise-no-watasi Ferry" and walked over Misesaka-toge Pass, they got to Takihara-no-miya Shrine. But now you have to go around to cross the Miya-gawa river, because there isn't "Mise-no-watasi Ferry."
From Tochihara Station you walk through small village with field of green
tea tree and there are some small shrines along the trail. Around Takihara-no-miya
Shrine, there are beautiful Japanese-style houses along trail.
The Pass isn't so hard pass with short steep slope, but long distance makes
this trail hard. If you don't have physical strength, start from Misedani
Station. |
