Tsuzurto-toge Pass was once the boundary between Ise country and Kii country.
Pilgrims who came from Ise passing through mountains could see Kumano-nada
Sea for the first time in their travel.The view from the summit of Tsuzurato-toge
Pass must cheer them.
"Tsuzurato" literary means "ninety-nine bends".From
the summit, there is a zigzag path on sharp mountin side. On the way, people
can found a good stone path.
In Shiko-district, local-citizen-group adjusts and takes care of this trail.There is beautiful flower field in Shiko-district, you could see their good work. |
